2015 Hyundai Elantra GT: Fluidic indeed

The newly designed Hyundai Elantra first appeared in 2011, and since then has seen very few changes and/or upgrades aesthetically and/or mechanically.

However, the vehicle’s new Fluidic Sculpture designs turned heads then and continues to do so today, ensuring buyers give Hyundai the second glance they deserve, especially when it comes to the compact-car segment.

Take in the flowing, sculpted lines of the 2015 Hyundai Elantra and you’ll not be disappointed. LED headlights/taillights, and an overall youthful, sporty design, especially in the GT body style, make the Elantra a real looker, even though it’s not seen a great deal of upgrades since it was first launched and redesigned. You’re going to want to check out the interior, too that’s loaded with amenities and creature comforts you’ll be shocked to find in a vehicle in this price bracket.

It’s a good thing the Elantra GT is available, since in the summer of 2014, Hyundai announced it would no longer sell the coupe version due to a lack of interest. So, while you can still purchase a 2014 model, for 2015 the coupe body style is no longer available – but that’s OK. The hot hatch GT more than makes up for it.

With creature comforts such as air conditioning, heated front seats, SiriusXM satellite radio, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power door locks and windows, Bluetooth, and remote keyless entry all standard on the Elantra GT GL models, you might be shocked to know you can have all of that for under $20k. Of course, that’s not your only option: There are no less than 7 models to choose from across the Elantra GT lineup.

Luxuries such as 7” high-resolution touchscreen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and seats, push-button start, and a 360-Watt stereo with six speakers and external amp are available on higher trim levels, of course.

The Hyundai Elantra GT comes equipped with the same engine across the board: a 2.0L GDI 4-cylinder that produces 173 horsepower and 154 lb-ft of torque. Transmission choices reside in a 6-speed manual (standard on all base L models), and a 6-speed automatic. Power is sent to the front wheels across all models.

If you’re in need of an affordable, well-equipped hot hatchback that’s an ideal urban dweller, then look no further than the 2015 Hyundai Elantra GT. With stellar good looks and an interior that’s both comfortable and decked out, with plenty of space too, there’s so much to love about the Elantra GT and it’s sure to please.
