Kitchener Hyundai Cares
We're Proud to Support
KW Habilitation
Kitchener Hyundai is Proud To Support KW Habilitation and has donated $15,000. KW Habilitation has a proud history of supporting people with developmental disabilities, and today, their programs are open to anyone in our community who can benefit. That includes people facing any barrier to employment, families with young children, and people of all abilities looking for supportive, inclusive spaces to learn, connect, and grow.
They offer a wide range of services: safe and inclusive housing, skill-building and lifelong learning, help to find and keep meaningful work, and early learning and child development programs for children and families. Everything they do fits into three categories: Inclusion, Employment, and Early Learning, all designed to create opportunities, foster inclusion, and build a community where everyone belongs and participates.
Food Bank of Waterloo Region
Kitchener Hyundai is Proud to donate $20,000 to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region! For more than 40 years, The Food Bank of Waterloo Region has been dedicated to ensuring everyone in our community has access to nourishing food. In the past year alone, they have distributed 9.6 million pounds of food—helping to ensure people have the food they need, when they need it most. And with the support of our generous community, they will keep working toward a future where no one goes hungry.
Kitchener Hyundai is Proud to donate $20,000 to the Waterloo Regional Health Netwrok-Scotland Yard! Scotland’s Yard is a community initiative focused on augmenting care closer to home for children with cancer and other serious illnesses. Inspired by Scotland, a young cancer survivor, a group of dedicated friends and neighbours are working to raise $50 million in support of Waterloo Regional Health Network's projects that will help children, and their families, get more care locally.
A Legacy of Care and Compassion
In the demanding world of retail automotive, mental health often takes a back seat. The challenges faced by dealership teams, especially during the pandemic, highlighted the critical need for support and understanding.
Pat Priestner, our founder, recognized this need and turned his personal reflections into action. Originally written as a heartfelt memoir for his children and grandchildren, Notes for the Children shares Pat's journey of overcoming personal and professional challenges while prioritizing mental well-being. Drawing from over 50 years in the retail automotive industry, he candidly addresses his struggles, lessons learned, and the practices that helped him navigate life's ups and downs.
Today, Pat visits our dealerships to share these experiences firsthand, fostering conversations around mental health and personal growth. His book is a blend of personal stories and practical advice—a testament to the transformative power of small, meaningful changes.
All proceeds from Notes for the Children will go to charities that support well-being across Canada, helping to extend the impact of his message beyond our organization.
